Expression of Interest Sought for Microsoft Access Database Development Services

The PNG Forest Authority is looking to make improvements to an existing MS Access database system that is used to record and process data related to forest operations in PNG. Deadline for submissions is March 31st, 210. Click here for more details.

December 2009 Forestry Newsletter

Year 2009 has been slow for the Papua New Guinea Forest Authority (PNGFA) due to the implementation of a major restructure which saw many long serving officers being retrenched while at the same time new officers have been recruited. As a result, the majority of work earmarked for the year, have not been realized.
However, despite the restructure slowing down things, the organization has recorded some milestone achievements in 2009. Click here for more details.


PNGFA selling and buying

PNG Forest Authority is putting on tender some of its vehicles, speedboat motors and kit homes. It is also looking for a supplier of 4 wheel drive vehicles. Click here for more details.


PNGFA Project Management workshops

MANAGING Director of the National Forest Service Mr. Kanawi Pouru has told participants of the first PNGFA Project Management Fundamental workshop held on August 26-27th, 2009 in Port Moresby to share their knowledge with those who work under them. Click here for more details.



PNGFA August workshop to discuss two policies

PAPUA New Guinea Forest Authority (PNGFA) held a workshop at Gateway Hotel on August 19th, 2009 to give its stakeholders a final opportunity to have their say on two policies the authority is currently working on. These are: The National Forestry Development Guidelines (NFDG) and Climate Change Policy Framework. Click here for more details.
